Did you find a CC mint mark? (quick follow-up)
April 04, 2026

If you didn't, this is your nudge. It takes about 60 seconds.

Flip any Morgan you have to the reverse side. Look directly below the bow at the bottom of the wreath. You're looking for two small letters: CC.

That's Carson City. And if you see it, look up the date immediately because a CC Morgan in good condition is worth serious money.

The 1889-CC alone is worth $4,000+ in Extremely Fine grade.

Even if you don't have a Morgan, it's worth checking whatever US coins you do have. Key dates and mint marks hide in plain sight.

A few people replied to my last email asking where to go next.

My honest answer: get yourself a copy of the Red Book.

It's the official price guide that the entire numismatic world uses updated every year since 1946.

The 2026 edition has just been completely redesigned with over 32,500 prices across 12,000+ coins. If you're going to take this hobby seriously (or even just casually), it belongs on your shelf.

👉 Pick up the 2026 Red Book on Amazon here - https://amzn.to/4rZ8Eid

It costs less than a decent lunch and will pay for itself the first time it saves you from overpaying or helps you realise what you're actually sitting on.

That's it from me. Short and sweet this time.

If you do find something interesting when you check your coins reply and tell me. I genuinely enjoy hearing about finds, no matter how big or small.

Happy hunting,

William

P.S. If you haven't had a chance to read the first email properly, here's the short version: the 1893-S Morgan in Fine condition has sold for over $20,000. The 1895 Proof for over $100,000. Common dates are worth $25–$50. The mint mark is everything.
