How To Use The Bitcoin Profit Calculator Tool (Step-By-Step Guide)

Step 1: Investment Currency. Use the drop down box to choose the fiat currency that you used to purchase your BTC.

For example, the default choice is USD.

However you can also choose GBP, EUR, AUD, CAD, JPY or  CHF.

Step 2: Amount of BTC bought. Enter the amount of BTC that you have bought.

For example, type 0.1 in the box for the purchase of 0.1 Bitcoin.

Step 3: Buying Price per BTC. Enter the amount in fiat that you paid for your purchase.

For example, type 25560 into the box if you paid $25560 USD per coin.

The amount entered will be in the same fiat currency as you chose in Step 1.

Step 4: Buying Fee %. Enter your buying or exchange fee in the box as a percentage.

For example, if the exchange charges 0.25% as a maker or taker fee, then type 0.25 into the box.

This step is optional. You can leave blank or type 0 if you don't wish to include a fee.

Step 5: Selling Price per BTC. Enter the amount in fiat that you sold or are selling your Bitcoin for.

For example, type 112600 into the box if you sold or are selling your BTC at $112600 per coin.

Step 6: Selling Fee %. Most exchanges will charge a fee as a percentage of the sale, typically around 0.5%.

So, for example, if the exchange charges 0.5% as a maker or taker fee, then type 0.5 into the box. This step is optional.

You can leave blank or type 0 if you don't wish to include a fee.

Step 7: Click on the Calculate Your BTC Profit/Loss button to have your profit or loss displayed as both an amount in fiat currency and a percentage.
